A Scandalous Conversation

I think I get it. We’re boggled sometimes.

Perhaps it’s because so many of us find a new understanding of God and His love for us through his Son only when we drop to our knees in helplessness because we’ve made a mess of our own life…. that we get all boggled up in the notion that we have to be GOOD to be a follower of Jesus of Nazareth. And our eyesight gets more narrow instead of wider and more open.

But the Son of God came for that very and sole purpose!

And the church gets messed up because we start to be shocked when people make really big mistakes. We sound appalled when we should sound loving.

Yes, it’s sometimes how we confuse righteousness.

When really, sometimes our biggest mess-ups are the only way to find the end of our own self. And see the face of God.

So, we could celebrate mistakes because they are
one of God’s great windows through which
He loves to enter our life!

Indeed! How great it is, then, when we don’t shed our conviction and still stand close enough to the lines we ourselves crossed over not too long ago. Or might yet still find a need to cross.

It’s grace.
Grace has the ability to join us together
because it’s something
we all need.

So Pasalm 51 would record how God used a window of opportunity to chasten David, call him back to his true self, and to continue to use him as part of his ongoing plan of redemption through Jesus Christ?
