Living Vertically,  The Story

Six Word Memoir, By Decade

I know it’s an old idea.  But my joyful expulsion of co-dependent behavior allows me to fly freely in the face of the perception of public ridicule.  Besides, if not now, when?

It’s my turn to play the Six Word Memoir game.

People on Twitter do one of these every minute, which I consider less interesting than trying to creatively capture a big life picture in just six words.

Coffee Please, I’m trying to write.  Not Interesting.
Wind blows autumn, time to rake. Ugh.

See what I mean?  And regrettably the originator Smith Magazine site has so much gobbledygook that it’s become little more than another crammed twitter feed.  Alas.  I did find, however, Squidoo page that was much more absorbing (read: time-killing).

But to capture a life of living into six words is an invigorating idea.  For me, it would be best developed with a brainstorming session filled with best friends and a giant whiteboard.  But I must carpe diem and set sail with my own exploitation of Hemmingway’s legend.

MY SIX WORD MEMOIR BY DECADE

My teens:  Does anyone else hear my fear?

My 20’s: Partying foolishly while pouring heart freely

My 30’s: Agonizing Craving, Elated Mothering, Many Lives

My 40’s:  Seeking, craving turned joyful, redeemed, growing

And lastly,

The official Suzy Sammons Six word memoir for right now:

Scandalous life redeemed by scandalous grace

Your turn.  GO!
